The same people who brought us the Muddy Roots Music Festival are putting on the inaugural Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender and Car Show May 1-2 at Opryland Hotel. It will be a weekend of Rockabilly, Country, Western Swing and Hillbilly Boogie complemented by indoor and outdoor car shows, a pin-up pageant, and a fashion show. If you have been to Muddy Roots Music Festival before, you know this will be a good time.
The weekend festival is celebrating the 40s and 50s sounds that built Nashville, featuring headliners like Don Maddox, The Paladins, Johnny Powers, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys, and Rosie Flores. Needless to say, there’s going to be lots of great music and sights, so go ahead and mark your calendar, grab your tickets below, and keep your ear to No Country for more about this awesome weekend event.
The Kick-off Party will be on Thursday April 30 at the Nashville Palace across the street from Opryland. Friday and Saturday evenings the official festival will be taking place throughout Opryland Hotel (along with the car show on Saturday), and then it all wraps up on Sunday with a church service at the Texas Troubadour Theater and the final shows in the evening at the Johnny Cash Museum. Check out the full schedule here. See below for videos from some of the headliners.
