Washington rocker Jeremy Enigk, best known for fronting seminal ’90s emo act Sunny Day Real Estate, has announced a spring acoustic solo tour, which will bring him to Nashville (possibly for the first time ever, as far as we can tell) April 15 at Mercy Lounge. It’s been six years since Enigk last released a solo album (2009’s Ok Bear) and just as long since he’s performed live, so this run is bit of a big deal! And, sure, Sunny Day briefly reunited in the interim, promising, for a fleeting moment, the possibility of new tunes and further touring, but, it seems, they’re back to being dormant; a bit of a bummer for SDRE fans, sure, but, if you prefer Enigk’s solo output, here’s hoping this tour leads to a new record soon. Grab your tickets beginning Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m., and watch a live video from a few years back below!
