Nearly four years after his departure from seminal alt rock/pop punk group Paramore, Nashville based artist Josh Farro (whose brother, Zac, also formerly of Paramore, has made a splash in the local scene under the moniker HalfNoise), has unveiled a new solo project, simply dubbed Farro. While the singer had one previous false start, with seemingly abandoned (or potentially repurposed) project Novel American, Farro, whose debut single and accompanying music video, “Color Rush,” are out now, appears to be well worth the wait. Boasting a dance friendly, synth-laden, poppy flavor of indie rock, “Color Rush” definitely has our interest piqued, and we’re anxious to see what else Josh has up his sleeve. A handful of Farro dates have been announced for next year. We’ll keep you updated as soon as a hometown show enters the mix.
