As if there were any doubt as to just how big of a deal Bonnaroo has become in recent years, tonight, for the first time, the fest is set to air its own cable special: A Very Bonnaroo Thanksgiving. Coming off of an incredibly successful 2014 and ramping up for a sure to be great 2015, the special will “check in on Bonnaroo groundskeeper, Dale, as he takes care of The Farm and unleashes a magical archive of past festival performances, including Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Elton John, Metallica, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mumford & Sons, Jack White, and many more.” A Very Bonnaroo Thanksgiving airs at 8 p.m. CST on VH1, and the ‘Roo powers that be encourage you to use the hashtag #GobbleRoo if you post about it on social media.
Why, exactly, are we getting excited about Bonnaroo 2015 so far ahead of its June 11-14 date?
