AltJ2014-620

Whoop, whoop more spring time concert announcements to warm your soul during this frigid fall.  Alt-J have just announced a return to Nashville, this time at the 4,500 seat Grand Ole Opry House on April 6.  It’s still amazing to watch the rise of this trio from Leeds, England.  Their debut An Awesome Wave won the Mercury Prize in 2012, and watched them quickly run up from The High Watt sized venues to sell out Cannery Ballroom in March 2013, only to return again and sell every pew at The Ryman in September of the same year.

Their just announced tour is in support of their stellar 2014 release This Is All Yours, and Alt-J continue the trend of strong non-country acts gracing the home of country music.  Tickets go on sale this Friday, Nov. 21 at 10am CST, but keep your ears open for a use pre-sale password “YOURS” to get a leg up on tickets starting Wednesday 11/19 at 10am until Thursday 11/20 at 10pm at the same link!  In the meantime, warm your earholes up with “Every Other Freckle” below, and then ponder summertime thoughts, as they snuck this local date in just before the standard three month Bonnaroo radius clause kicks in.
