For the last several weeks, each and every Tuesday evening over at Acme Feed and Seed on Broadway has become “No Country for New Nashville Night”, during which we showcase some of the finest local talent available. Last week featured Moon Age and Willie and the Giant, and we’ll be back at it again this week with Marquee Mayfield and the Mr. Moons. On the off chance that you’re not familiar with this fantastic RnB tinged act, you ought to educate yourself before next week; the upbeat, funky pop tunes penned by Mayfield are enough to get anyone out of their seat and in the groove, and we’re positive it’s going to be a very entertaining evening.
As always, the showcase will be absolutely, 100% free to the public, so there’s really no excuse not to come out, eat some great food, and check out one of Nashville’s best RnB/pop acts. The show begins at 8pm and should run for 2 to 3 hours, but doors will be open for regular restaurant/bar service at Acme for some time beforehand. If you’re looking for an immensely agreeable way to spend your Tuesday evening, come on out, say hi to all of us here on the site, and enjoy the musical prowess Marquee Mayfield and the Mr. Moons.
To top things off, our friends at Blue Moon are finishing this night off in style on the roof deck of Acme to celebrate the Harvest Moon. There will be beer specials and Lightning 100’s Justin Hammel will be spinning the hits during the viewing party which runs until 11pm.
