Baroque pop singer songwriter Fauna Halø is kicking off her summer tour with a show at The East Room on Saturday, 7/19 with support from brand new rockers S E C R E T C L U B, electronic duo The Trinity Schill Kill, and scary sexy blues band French Lips. There will also be a photo booth provided by the folks at Hong Meow. Learn more about the lineup after the jump.
FAUNA HALO
Fauna Halø is the baroque pop singer-songwriter influenced by moody classical pop pianists Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple, as well as the classical music that influenced those ladies, like Bach and Chopin. The show kicks off Fauna’s short summer tour of the east coast, so be sure to check her out before she heads out of town.
FRENCH LIPS
French Lips are a Dead Weather-esque three piece with influences as far-flung as the Delta blues and French electronica. Charismatic singer Sophie Kadow can go from a bluesy croon to a demonic shriek in seconds flat while guitarist Smokes Acquaro plays a mean slide.
THE TRINITY SCHILL KILL
This will be our first time checking out electronica duo The Trinity Schill Kill who make poppy dance beats reminiscent of Passion Pit and Phoenix.
S E C R E T C L U B
New to the scene S E C R E T C L U B has been reported to us as “in your face I’m going to do what I want and you can’t tell me otherwise” band with a sturdy bass, crazy fun drums, and guitars to get your head up and down. We don’t have an embed for them, so you’ll just have to get there early to hear it for yourself.
Fauna Halø, French Lips, The Trinity Schill Kill and S E C R E T C L U B will perform tonight (7/19/14) at The East Room. The show is 21+, begins at 9pm (doors at 8pm), and tickets are available for $5 at the door.
