Enigmatic Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has announced the next chapter of his solo career, a new group called Julian Casablancas+The Voidz, and, while the singer released an album under his own name, Phrazes for the Young, in 2009, The Voidz’ upcoming Tyranny, due out Sept. 23 on Julian’s own Cult Records, is being billed as their debut. The newly formed side project will also kick off their first ever U.S. tour this fall, with a planned stop at Nashville’s own Marathon Music Works on Oct. 21. You can snag tickets beginning this Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. right here. You can also pre-order Tyranny for just $3.87, and check out a teaser video of the release below.
