New York shoegaze-y, electronic duo Phantogram have been making waves since the 2009 release of their debut, Eyelid Movies. In the five yeara since, leading up brand new followup, February’s fantastic Voices, the group have spent time touring relentlessly (including runs with some indie rock heavyweights), collaborating with the likes of The Flaming Lips and Big Boi, cementing their status as festival staples, and making appearances on late night television. The group’s last outing at Marathon Music Works, back in October, was an unforgettable one, and they’ve just announced a return, slated for July 2. This time around, Phantogram will bring along Bad Things, a hyped-up new alt-rock outfit featuring pro snowboarder and Olympian Shaun White. We’ve caught Bad Things firsthand and can attest that they’re the real deal; a hard-working, gimmick-free rock band worth a listen. If the sound of this lineup piques your interest, you can pick up tickets when they go on sale tomorrow, May 2, at 10 a.m., right here for $20.
