Announced earlier this afternoon, in a ceremony hosted by Lightning 100 and featuring Nashville mayor Karl Dean, the annual Live on the Green music festival is set to return once again this year, albeit with a few changes. Breaking the traditional six-week model, the 2014 season will run for just four weeks, beginning on August 14. However, for the first time ever, Live on the Green will conclude with an epic three-day festival, running September 4 through 6. Additionally, the festival site, centered around Public Square Park, will be expanded to include an extra city block, and this season’s hours have been extended. The best news? It’s still totally FREE and open to the public! Look out for a full lineup announcement on June 26, which will coincide with the sale of VIP tickets. We have a feeling that this is going to be the most exciting year yet, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any further developments.
