Nashville rockers Thelma & The Sleaze are pretty much the Honey Badger of the local rock scene. Thelma & The Sleaze don’t give a shit… they take what they want. So, this no holds barred video of the gals rocking out in Memphis, with a cameo by the Paris Adult Theater, should come as no surprise. I mean, the subject line of the damn press release is “NASHVILLE ROCK N ROLL DYKE BLOOD CARNAGE POWER TRIO”. If that doesn’t tell you to hold on to your hats, I don’t know what does. We still don’t really know what happened when they covered Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas” at our Caroling Party at The Stone Fox back in December, but we know that it was fun as hell. Which is the same thing that we know about pretty much every show we’ve seen them play, and why we were stoked to see this video pop up in our inbox.
The track “High Class Woman” is the first single that we’ve caught from their These Boots Won’t Lick Themselves EP. The video was shot and directed by Seth Graves, and is truly a fun romp that’ll leave you wondering what the hell just happened to your psyche and your ears. Definitely dig it.
