All week long, news of Morrissey dates have been popping up left and right across the U.S. and now, finally, the singer has spilled the beans on a full spring tour, via quasi-official fan site True-To-You. And, good news for you fellow Moz fans who were devastated when the singer cancelled not one, but TWO Nashville dates last year, following months of tour mishaps and illness: he’s RETURNING TO THE RYMAN ON MAY 28 (and, given his renewed energy, upcoming album, and great attitude as of late, we think it’s actually happening this time). We’ll have to wait for the official announcement for the rest of the details, so keep an eye out for that no later than tomorrow, but it appears that tickets will go on sale next Friday, Feb. 21. By the time this show rolls around, it’ll have been nearly a decade since the Pope of Mope last visited Music City; about time, right?
UPDATE: The Ryman has now confirmed that tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. We’ve also learned that ticket holders for last year’s postponed then ultimately canceled Moz shows will receive a special unique presale code beginning Monday. Finally, frequent Morrissey tourmate Kristeen Young will open.
