Breakout English indie rockers The 1975 have announced a spring North American tour, which includes a Nashville date, set to take place May 15 at Exit/In. Though they came close with their appearance at the Music in the Middle Festival last month in Woodbury, the band have never properly performed in Music City.
The 1975 have been making music together for over a decade, but only began releasing music under their current moniker in early 2012. With a string of buzzworthy EPs, the group had already amassed a cult following ahead of their full-length, self-titled debut, earlier this fall. They’re one of the most refreshing, eclectic, and dynamic acts to come out of the indie rock scene in recent years, and seem to be destined for even bigger and better things.
We’ll bring you more details on their Nashville show as they become available, but, for now, you can sign up for a special pre-sale through the band’s site, which begins this Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. and includes a free download of their track “You.” General on-sale tickets are available here for $17 in advance, and $20 the day of show.
