So, we already told you about Sol Cat and Conveyor tonight at The High Watt, but let’s face it… that isn’t going to do it for everyone. Some folks are going to want a bit more fuzz in their rock. So, let’s have a quick look at Broncho, Bad Weather California, and Faux Ferocious at 12th & Porter tonight (tickets).
Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Broncho can certainly channel that fuzzy punk tone, and vomit it out with catchy pop hooks. This one was a true find for me when I was strolling through concert calendars about a month ago. Have a listen to their record Can’t Get Past The Lips below.

Bad Weather California might have gotten the wrong directions, because they sound almost like they should be on the bill with Sol Cat & Conveyor. I’ve seen a few things from them, but not a ton. I do know that it is some pretty fun California surf rock that has is painted with a bit of their native Colorado’s color. You can check out a recently released video for “I’ll Reach Out My Hand” over at Relix, and I’ve thrown up an aptly titled “Apartment Jam” video below.

Things get started around 8 pm with Nashville’s Faux Ferocious. I’ve thrown up their 2010 release Brick Beater below. I have been hearing about Faux Ferocious for a while, and I’ve seen them a couple of times, and I still don’t know jack about them. I did a little searching around to see what I could find, and here is their Facebook bio. Classy! You can also check out their wild video for “Striking Distance” that came out recently below that player of older tracks below.
