It’s another monster night on Cannery Row, and there is a little something to go around for everyone with Lucero, Honey Locust, & Cherub all performing on the various stages. You know where to go. Now, all you have to do is get out and see some live music.
On the main stage (sheesh, I sound like one of those guys on the microphone at a strip club)… scratch that. Downstairs at Cannery, you have another run through town from Lucero. The Memphis based punktry (yeah, I just made that up) band has been bringing it for years now, and they don’t disappoint. There are still some tickets available, and things get started at 9am with John Henry & The Engine. You can check out this Sleepover Session of Lucero (which is considerably toned down from what you will hear tonight) that I stumbled upon the other day while you are thinking about it.

Do you remember us telling you about that new release from Nashville folksters Honey Locust not too long ago? Well, it is their official EP release party tonight at The High Watt, and it is bound to be a good time for all. We leaked a couple of tracks from that EP before, but you can check out the full record below. You also have Cuddle Magic & Paper Lantern starting things off around 9pm, and you can get your $5 tickets here.

If you need a little more energy than either of these then you should move your ass up to the Mercy Lounge for Cherub. The best way I can describe this electro-pop awesomeness is MGMT covering Prince. Stop and think about for a second. That’s freaking awesome. You also get the electrofunk of Ghosthouse and DWNTWN. You can grab tickets here, and you can check out the offical video for Cherub’s “Hold Me” below.
