I just got an advance of an EP from Nashville based folk outfit Honey Locust, and I listened to it three times in a row. That NEVER happens. I don’t know much about them, but I know they sound like Andrew Bird covering Beirut with the lead singer Alexander from Edward Sharpe at the helm. They are releasing the first single “Fear Is A Feeling” today, and they let us throw up another track for you to check out. Straws have been drawn, and you get “Silver for Cynics”. You’ll have to wait until you get the chance to see them at Montgomery Bell’s Endada Festival on April 28th or at their EP release show at Mercy’s High Watt stage on May 11th to get your own copy of the EP. They also have an in-store at Grimeys on May 18th So, head back often to listen to the crap out of these two songs the full EP below until you have a chance to see them live.
