Usually we talk about Tonight In Nashville which would be me raving about Deer Tick, but, if you are looking to support some local acts (and you know where Gallatin is), you could head out to the Big Nashty Festival. It’s a two stage event that gets started at 1pm and howls straight throught until the last act at 3am. Check out the write up that Nashville Cream did about the event a few days ago.
The line up looks like: Night Beds, New Pleasure, Trevor Wilmott, Siberian Traps, Couched, Dead Armadillo, Natalie Royal, Chris Wild, Hide Your Mamas, Natalie Prass, Deathstar Lovebeam, Rangi & Papa, Reid Magette, Bad Cop, Faux Ferocious, D. Watusi, Sons of Lions, Cy Barkley, Evan P. Donohue, Natural Child, and Hans Condor.
I’m not going to put up links to everyone of those artists, but, if you keep up with this blog, you know that we have talked about quit a few of them. You can also head over to the festival artist page for links. Tickets are $20 at the door. The festival is all ages, and wristbands will be provided for those over 21. Camping is not only allowed but encouraged. Don’t drink and drive, and get out to see some live music.
