My personal Bonnaroo stand out band, J. Roddy Walston & The Business (Bonnaroo preview post & Post Bonnaroo review post) are playing at Louisville’s bowling, all-things-dude Lebowski Festival on Friday July 15th. Tickets are only $15. So, dig through the Salvation Army to find your best costume, and head a few hours up the road for what is sure to be a kick ass good time with bowling, raucous music, a viewing of The Big Lebowski, and ridiculous Lebowski aficionados.
If you still haven’t had enough, you can stick around Saturday for the 4pm Garden Party w/ music by Those Darlins (Nashville chick rockers), The Seedy Seeds (Cincinnati electro-pop), How I Became The Bomb (Nashville pop band) & Junk Yard Dogs (7 piece Louisiville feel good band). Lebowski themed games (Ringet Toss, Marmot Fling) and what-have-you. At 8pm on Saturday, the action heads into the lanes for the Bowling Party with (of course) bowling, costumes, trivia and other contests with special guest star Liam! And, if you haven’t drank too many White Russians, Jackie Treehorn’s After Party starts at midnight with music by the Health & Happiness Gospel Band
Watch out for the Nihilists.
