It’s no secret that Nashville’s pop scene is absolutely thriving, and tons of amazing new artists are rising from the fold left and right (it’s all happening so fast that, arguably, just as many great talents are getting lost in the shuffle). Of many prominent, recent figures to erupt from the lcoal pop landscape, few are as buzzworthy or as poised for inevitable superstardom as alt-r&b-pop singer R.LUM.R, who, over the past couple of years and with just a handful of singles, has lit up the blogosphere, amassed streams in the millions, and has fast become one of the first names listed when talking about the immediate relevance of Nashville pop- all well-deserved. Released last year, his soulful, lush, sweeping single “Frustrated” has helped the rising singer find even broader attention, and, recently, the track finally got the music video treatment, which you can watch below!
Tonight, April 13, R.LUM.R returns to Cannery Row to headline Mercy Lounge, after selling out his last few shows at The High Watt. Joined by pop/r&b/indie production duo BIYO and producer turned vibey pop artist Mokita, this is an incredible chance to sample exactly why this side of the local scene is so exciting right now, and especially to witness the evening’s headliner on his ascent to bigger and bigger rooms. Grab tickets before they’re gone!
R.LUM.R, BIYO, and Mokita will perform tonight, April 13 at Mercy Lounge. The show is 18+, begins at 8:30 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.), and tickets are available to purchase for $15.
