GIVERS – Bonnaroo Review

Indie music’s next Vampire Weekend just might be GIVERS.  This Lafayette, Louisiana indie pop band played at Bonnaroo’s On Tap Lounge on Friday evening (6/10), and they were probably deserving of a larger venue at the festival.  The packed crowd was moving and grooving to the sounds.  Definitely a highlight of the festival for me.

The success continues for these industry sweethearts right now.  They released their first full length record In Light earlier this month.  They just performed their first television set (Up, Up, Up) on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.  The new music video for “Up, Up, Up” via Stereogum.  And, if you aren’t worn out from their first hit single yet, you can check out the Bonnaroo bootleg below.

No indication of a tour through the southeast yet, but I’ll let you know if I hear of them coming to or near Nashville again.
