Hailing from Leamington, Ontario, though he’s spent much of the last several years in Nashville (as well as Toronto), singer-songwriter Billy Raffoul developed a love for music at a young age, immersed in performance and exposed to lots of rock and spirit by his musician father, Jody Raffoul. By his teens, Billy was honing his craft as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter, generating buzz regionally before a chance session gig helped lead to a major record deal. He was splitting time between Nashville and LA by the time his first single arrived in 2017, followed by his debut EP, 1975, the following year. A prolific clip of singles and another EP would follow, and by full-length debut International Hotel, released in the midst of lockdown in 2020, Raffoul had really honed his moody, soulful, and timeless alt rock style and deeply personal songwriting approach.
It’s been another prolific few years since Raffoul’s first album, recently culminating in his highly-anticipated followup, the earnest, kinetic, and heartfelt For All These Years. In celebration of his latest, Billy is in the midst of a tour of North America, and will return to his adopted sometimes-home of Nashville for a headlining show (after a more intimate appearance at The Bluebird back in the spring) Nov. 11 at Exit/In! His younger brother Peter Raffoul– an impressive and distinct indie artist in his own right, and also Nashville based by way of Canada- and Canadian rockers The Indiana Drones are set to open, and tickets are still available right here. However, we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to some lucky fans! Preview the performers and enter to win below.
