Were you bummed to find out that the upcoming Melanie Martinez show at The High Watt on Aug. 27 sold out yesterday? Well, we’re about to make your day. It seems that Nashville can’t get enough of the alt-pop singer, so her show has been moved to Mercy Lounge to make sure more fans get their fix. The date will stay the same and original tickets will be honored, but more tickets have been opened up for $20 here.
The 20-year-old former contestant on The Voice made waves last year with her Dollhouse EP, and just released her debut full-length album Cry Baby last week. Her sound, a mix of pop and even a little r&b, puts a sexy spin on childhood themes like teddy bears and dollhouses while dealing with serious subjects like insecurity, facades and insanity. Check out the creepy and colorful video for “Dollhouse” after the jump, and be sure to get tickets to see what’s sure to be an entertaining and unique performance before it sells out for a second time.
