Always looking for a cheap and easy way to rock out on week night? Look no further then tonight’s bill at The 5 Spot, which features three great bands for the low, low price of just $7! Joel Levi and his band will bring some indie folk, rock ’n’ soul sounds, Twiggs have some alt-country vibes and Holy Ghost Tent Revival are more the pure rock ’n’ roll path. All together they will leave your mind blown for less money than a Chipotle burrito would cost you.
This is a 21 + show, and the music will start around 8, but doors open at 7. If you still aren’t sure it’s worth it for a Thursday night, read on after the jump, but we know we’ll see some of you there. This is Music City, and Thursday is as good a night as any to catch some live tunes.
JOEL LEVI
Originally hailing from Anderson, IN, (but now calling Nashville home), Mr. Levi is an energetic front man to his band of indie folk rockers. He already recorded with a Grammy winning producer/songwriter, Charlie Peacock, for his first effort, entitled Little Places. His follow up, and first full-length, Rangetime, is do out later this year, but if you like what you hear below check out his Spotify right here … oh, and go see him live!
TWIGGS
Okies by birth, residents of Music City by choice, Twiggs have been gaining traction as a local must-see act with their alt-country and rockabilly sensibilities. We highly recommend you get some of their latest, self-titled, release in your life ASAP, (and you can start below). However, we can assure you they are best enjoyed in person.
HOLY GHOST TENT REVIVAL
Holy Ghost Tent Revival, have been one of our favorite bands to make the familiar journey from Asheville, NC, to come play in Music City. Their third release, Right Side of Mind, dropped Sept. 16th and you should probably buy it immediately. Or just get it at the merch table tonight, when you get to The 5 Spot early, in order to catch the full bill!
Joel Levi, Twiggs, and Holy Ghost Tent Revival will perform TONIGHT at The 5 Spot. The show is 21 +, begins at 8 pm (doors at 7), and tickets are available for $7 at the door.
