Jaccuzi Boys, The End, Tonight in Nashville

What are you going to be for Halloween?  Are you going to dress up as your favorite musician?  Are you going to dress up like a dressed up Lady Gaga?  Are you too old for Halloween?  Do you refuse to diet to cram your body into a slutty outfit?  Do you think it is ridiculous to spend lots of money for some ripped up piece of garbage that you will wear for one night?  I’m dressing up this year for the first time in a long time, and I have to admit I’m kind of excited about it.  So, what do I want to do with my dressed up self tonight in Nashville?  I want to head over to The End to see Jacuzzi Boys.

The Jacuzzi Boys are a Miami, Florida act that formed back in 2007 who evoke 60’s pop psychedelia as well as anyone out there today.  I’ve been listening to these guys for the past couple of years, and the sound has stayed fresh with me since.  The trio consisting of Gabriel Alcala on guitar, Diego Monasteri on drums, and bassist Danny Gonzales released their first record No Season on the Florida’s Dying label.  Based on the success of that debut along with some successful split 7’s and an awesome live Third Man Recording, they signed to Seattle’s Hardly Art label and released their most recent LP, Glazin’ in August 2011.  Now, they’re touring, and tonight they swing through The End in Nashville.

If you’ve heard the Jacuzzi Boy’s Third Man Recording (or went to the show), you know it is going to be a raucous night.  If you haven’t, but you know the openers Heavy Cream and Cy Barkley, then you know it is going to be a raucous night.  If you don’t know anything about any of these guys, you should put on a costume and go over there, because it is going to be a raucous night.

There’s a (flash required) player below to check out Jacuzzi Boys.  Tickets are $6 ($5 with a costume), and things get started around 9pm.  Tonight is the real Halloween for those 0f us too old to trick or treat, so get out and see some live music.
