Smoke Fairies, The Basement, Tonight In Nashville

Tonight in Nashville…

Smoke Fairies is a two piece British folk and blues band consisting of Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies.  The gals met in the late 90’s and began playing and exploring music in Europe and North America.  The duo began recording in 2007 with the release of the single “Living With Ghosts”.  In 2009, they released a single “Gastown” on Nashville’s own Third Man Records, and even enlisted Jack White to play drums and produce the single.  In 2010, Smoke Fairies released their first LP, Through Low Light And Trees, which received significant critical acclaim, earned them a headlining tour through the UK, and some significant spotlight in the European music scene.

They are currently touring their ethereal, dark and haunting left-of -center folk and blues sound through the US in preparation for a larger tour as the opening act for Blitzen Trapper & Dawes this fall (at Mercy Lounge on October 19th).  You have your chance to get to know these gals in the more intimate confines of The Basement tonight in Nashville at 9pm for only $7.  This is a great chance for you to get out and see some live music.
